Friday</p><p><strong>Hours of Work:</strong> 12:30pm-08:30pm</p><p><strong>Start Date:</strong> ASAP</p><p><strong>Salary:</strong> $28.76 per hour (as per Collective Agreement)</p><p><strong>Submit resume to:</strong> yasir.ansari@homesfirst.on.ca</p><p><strong><em> </em></strong></p><strong>APPLICANTS MUST QUOTE ?PSW-24?</strong><p></p><p>This position assists clients who are housed within Homes First Society Meegwetch Place to maintain optimal health and mental health stability, while adhering to the mission statement and policies & procedures of Homes First Society.</p><p></p><p><strong>Job Description:</strong></p><ul><li>Assist clients with residency, meals, room cleaning, grooming and hygiene, laundry, recreational and leisure activities and health monitoring</li><li>Arrange, remind and/or escort clients to medical, psychiatric, dental and diagnostic appointments and/or treatments</li><li>Communicate effectively in English, both verbally and in writing</li><li>Excellent time management skills</li><li>About to work independently and in inter-dependent teams</li><li>Update client files accordingly, keep accurate records and document daily information</li><li>Other duties as required</li></ul><p></p><p><strong>Qualifications:</strong></p><ul><li>Personal Support Worker Certification or equivalent work experience.</li><li>Knowledge of mental health issues and several years? experience working with people with mental health issues.</li><li>Certificates in First Aid, CPR and Crisis Prevention</li><li>Ability to work shifts.</li><li>Knowledge of and/or experience with the homeless population, diversity issues, anti-discrimination practices and systemic reasons for homelessness an asset</li><li>Excellent interpersonal skills</li></ul><p></p><p><em>Working in an environment where there may be smoke is required.</em></p><p><em> </em></p><p><em>The successful applicant must provide a criminal record check that is satisfactory to Homes First Society.</em></p><p><em>Homes First Society is an equal opportunity employer.</em></p><p></p><p></p><p><strong>Accommodation</strong></p><p>Homes First is committed to creating an accessible and inclusive organization.
