*Job Summary*
Working closely with the production quality team, and along with an additional Brewing Supervisor, this role is responsible for supervising daily activities while managing brewing KPIs and ensuring the production of quality beer. This role connects the continuous improvement focus of KPI evaluation with the daily operation of the brewing department and is split between project management and production support.
*Duties*
·
* Create schedules so all stages of the brewing process are performed on time and production targets are met. They must ensure that beers are produced to a schedule that maximizes the efficiency of the brewery and its staff.
* ·Coordinate beer movements throughout the brewery and making changes based on any issues that occur. Those issues could include changes to production goals, issues with raw materials, or mechanical issues.
* Collaborate with other supervisors on quality management initiatives with a proactive mindset.
* Manage Brewing department KPIs, meeting regularly with production quality team on deviations and opportunities for improvement.
* Be a leader in workplace health and safety providing example to team for best-in-class procedures
* Provide leadership on the floor for brewing team, communicating goals, callouts and daily production targets while fostering a culture of continuous improvement, positivism and creativity.
* Operate brewing + filtration equipment where needed, covering breaks and shift gaps
* Maintain work area to Food Safety and GMP (Good Manufacturing Practices) cleaning. standard, while striving to improve environmental metrics and plant organization.
* Working with production and procurement managers to monitor raw material quality; ensuring quality parameters for beer from brewhouse through fermentation and filtration.
* Work closely with plant management/leadership team on special projects.
* Lead other duties/projects as directed by Production Manager and collaborates with R&D on different programs.
* Occasional overtime might be required.
*Skills*

* Proven leadership experience to include; team building, coaching and motivation, change management, and process management.
* Very strong technical understanding of the brewing process and brewing quality control points.
* Excellent communication skills such as the ability to clearly articulate issues, opportunities and risk when making decisions.
* Strong analytical and organizational skills.
* Solid working knowledge of pneumatic systems, industrial electricity, mechanical power, steam generation and distribution, industrial refrigeration and sanitary process piping systems strongly preferred
* Exhibits the flexibility needed to respond to frequent changes in production requirements and/or systems and equipment failures.
* Proficient with Microsoft Office suite.
* Results driven focus.
* Experience with trouble shooting and programming of automated equipment control platforms (i.e., Allen- Bradley, Siemens PCS7, Rockwell Automation) strongly preferred.
* Must be able to work flexible shifts, overtime as necessary, & holidays and weekends.
* Ability to crawl, bend, twist, turn, and stoop.
* Forklift/pallet jack proficiency required.
* Must be able to lift up to 55 lbs.
