Community Engagement: We strengthen our commitment to the community with programs like volunteer time, employee-driven initiatives, and monthly giving to charities chosen by our employees.Core Duties and ResponsibilitiesAs a File Opening Clerk within our Creditor Practice team your responsibilities will include, but are not limited to: Monitoring file opening, prioritizing urgent requests and opening all others in a timely manner; Ensuring accuracy upon file opening, then maintaining accuracy throughout the life cycle of the file with updates to information as necessary; Identifying incomplete file information and researching/requesting missing information as required; Completing thorough and accurate conflict checks daily; Reviewing file opening procedures with new employees; Processing outgoing wires, credit card payments, disbursements, etc.; Supporting other accounting functions including billing, cheques, deposits, etc.; and, Other duties as requiredQualifications and SkillsTo be successful, you possess the following qualifications and skills: 1-2 years of experience in a data entry, data validation, or similar role required; Graduate of an Accounting program considered an asset; Exceptional attention to detail and proven organization skills; Aptitude for critical thinking, problem solving, and making sound judgement calls; Superior communication skills with a demonstrated ability to work with multiple stakeholders; Proven ability to manage time effectively, as well as the ability to handle multiple priorities in a deadline driven work environment; Ability to work independently, take initiative, and follow instructions with minimal supervision; Adept at using technology such as Outlook and the full Microsoft Suite, with a talent for learning new software programs quickly; and, Excellent team player who contributes positively to the team cultureMake Your Mark at BOYNECLARKE LLPHere, you won't just find a job?you'll find a career and a community.
