*Job Function:*
Reporting directly to the Director of Technology, the Engineering Manager will be crucial in leading and executing various engineering projects from conception to completion. They will be responsible for applying technical expertise to lead the design of innovative mechanical systems while overseeing project timelines, budgets, and resources to ensure successful delivery. They use engineering principles in practical situations, leading the design, development, and maintenance of various technologies. Main responsibilities include overseeing the design, development, testing, and optimization of innovative completion tools for the oil and gas industry. The Engineering Manager will be responsible for managing engineering projects, driving technical excellence, and ensuring the successful delivery of cutting-edge solutions that meet industry demands. Additionally, designing and drafting prototypes, maintaining product upgrades, analyzing data, building and improving processes, troubleshooting technical issues, and collaborating with coworkers to develop and implement appropriate solutions will be incorporated into the role. The Engineering Manager is responsible for keeping informed of all applicable health, safety, environmental and processes associated with this job function and completing required competency training for the job function.
*Job Roles:*
? Lead the design and development of Downhole Completion Tools (DCTs), components, and products from concept through production.
? Lead, mentor, and develop a team of engineers focused on the design and production of downhole completion tools. Foster a culture of technical excellence, safety, and collaboration.
? Oversee the complete product lifecycle of downhole completion tools, from concept through design, prototyping, testing, and commercialization. Ensure products meet industry standards and client specifications.
? Provide in-depth technical guidance on the design and performance of downhole tools, including packers, sliding sleeves, liner hangers, and other completion equipment. Ensure adherence to relevant industry standards (API, ISO).
? Drive continuous innovation in the design and functionality of completion tools. Seek ways to optimize performance, reduce costs, and enhance the reliability and durability of products in extreme conditions.
? Collaborate with product management, manufacturing, and field service teams to align on product requirements and client needs. Ensure seamless communication between engineering and other departments.
? Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including electrical engineers, software engineers, and manufacturing specialists, to integrate mechanical designs seamlessly into overall project objectives.
? Ensure all engineering activities adhere to safety protocols, environmental standards, and regulatory requirements.
? Maintain awareness of new technologies, materials, and processes relevant to oil and gas completions.
? Participate in recruiting engineering talent. Mentor and develop team members to ensure their professional growth and alignment with company objectives.
? Thoroughly analyze and evaluate designs to ensure compliance with technical specifications, industry standards, and regulatory requirements.
? Work closely with suppliers to ensure quality materials and components are delivered for product development. Ensure vendor partnerships support overall project objectives.
? Manage project schedules, budgets, and resources effectively to meet milestones and deliverables.
? Identify and mitigate risks proactively, addressing any issues arising during the project lifecycle.
? Communicate project updates, progress reports, and technical insights to stakeholders, including management, clients, and external partners
? Maintain document control using established documentation management systems
? Collaborate across different departments of the organization for product troubleshooting and quality
