Job details
Education: Secondary (high) school graduation certificate. Tasks: Arrange travel, related itineraries and make reservations. Obtain special permits and other documents required to transport cargo on international routes. Operate and drive straight or articulated trucks to transport goods and materials. Oversee condition of vehicle and inspect tires, lights, brakes, cold storage and other equipment. Perform brake adjustments. Perform pre-trip, en route and post-trip inspection and oversee all aspects of vehicle. Record cargo information, hours of service, distance travelled and fuel consumption. Transportation/travel experience: Local. Long-haul. Security and safety: Criminal record check. Transportation/travel information: Drive manual transmission vehicle. Willing to travel overnight. Experience: 1 year to less than 2 years. Workplace information: On the road job. Support for newcomers and refugees: Offers mentorship programs that pair newcomers and/or refugees with experienced employees . Support for youths: Provides awareness training to employees to create a welcoming work environment for youth.
