*TREASURY ANALYST*

*The Opportunity*
We are searching for a Treasury Analyst to join our team. As a vital part of BC Ferries? Finance Division, you are responsible for implementing treasury strategies and providing corporate support to management by providing advice on financial risk management, long term forecasting, carbon credit administration and treasury operations, including day-to-day administration.
*The Role*
Reporting to the Assistant Treasurer, you add value and are energized by key areas of oversight such as:
* Providing support to management in the development, maintenance and operation of accurate financial forecast modelling (Monthly and daily cash flow, fuel deferral account balances, carbon credit generation, etc.)
* Providing critical analysis, options, implications and recommendations to Treasury management for strategic and operating decisions
* Performing daily Treasury operations and monitors liquidity requirements are being met
* Researching and identifying options and providing recommendations regarding financial transactions (derivative, investments, debt, alternative revenue sources) to mitigate financial risk and optimize financial performance
* Ensuring that all transactions and Treasury activities undertaken are compliant with internal policy/controls, contract obligations and financial agreements (MTI, Credit Agreement, etc.)
* Promoting and supporting the development and implementation of Treasury policies and parameters, ensuring that they are current and providing advice and recommendation for changes
*What you bring to the team*
You have completed an undergraduate degree in Business, Commerce, Economics or a related field. A CFA, CTP-AFP or CPA designation is preferred. You also bring 1-3 years? treasury, finance or related experience.
The right candidate for this role is a proven strategic problem-solver who is familiar with treasury, banking operations, cash management, capital markets products, qualificative analysis and data science.
You possess excellent interpersonal and relationship building skills, oral and written communication skills, report-writing and presentation skills. As well as computer skills, particularly in spreadsheet software and data presentation.

The target salary range: $81,100 to $101,300 per annum. The starting salary is determined based on the successful candidate?s knowledge, experience and internal equity. Starting salary may exceed the target range on exceptional basis.
