*WHAT WE?RE SEEKING:*
A qualified Warehouse Supervisor to oversee a team of 3 individuals in our Burlington Warehouse. This individual will work with the team to ensure that all orders are delivered to meet customer requirements, all documentation is properly prepared, and an adequate supply of inventory is maintained. The Warehouse Supervisor oversees the workflow and functioning of the department alongside the Operations Department Manager.
*WHAT YOU?LL BE DOING:*
* Plan, organize, and control activities in the Warehousing Department to meet customer requirements
* Order pick equipment and prepare orders for installers in the field
* Schedule and load outbound shipments with carriers
* Work the the Inventory Coordinator to enter inventory count data from off-site locations
* Unloading of inbound shipments and containers
* Ensure that products are stored in appropriate locations and meet safety guidelines
* Ensure inventory is properly maintained and meets customer requirements
* Implement the company?s safety, security, and housekeeping programs
* Work with all departments, vendors, suppliers and other external contacts
* Ensure correct orders are sent to customer as soon as possible in accordance with customer requirements
* Plan and co-ordinate physical counts of inventory as required by the Operations Department
* Works closely with the operations manager to ensure the warehouse coverage, training needs of the warehouse staff, and discuss health and safety needs
* Investigate and report all accidents on a timely basis
* Operates all equipment in a safe and responsible manner
* Other duties as assigned/required
*WHAT YOU HAVE:*
* Knowledge of warehousing methods and practices
* Knowledge of Health and Safety Regulations, WHMIS etc.
* Experience using power tools and hand tools
* Computer literacy including Word, Excel and business systems software
* Excellent time management, organization, and analytical skills
* Excellent written and oral communication skills and proven reading comprehension skills
* Strong people management, conflict resolution and communication skills
* High capacity to define priorities and allocation
* Identifies and resolves problems
*QUALIFICATIONS:*
* Secondary school diploma or relevant experience
* 3-5years warehouse experience
* 2 years of supervisory experience and/or in a leadership position
* Certification on counterbalance forklift trucks is preferred
* Clear criminal background, clean driver?s abstract and valid driver?s license
* Ability to lift up to 110lbs
