S&F De Melis Construction Ltd. is looking for a qualified CAR WASH SERVICE ELECTRICIAN to join our organization. The company is based in Concord, Ontario.Terms of Employment: Permanent, Full Time with Benefits Anticipated Start Date: As soon as possible S&F De Melis Const. is seeking an electrician for the GTA region. The new hire will be responsible for equipment maintenance and repair, and installation of automated and self serve car wash equipment, and for keeping related records. This position offers varying work schedules and a rotating on-call schedule. Some travel is required.
*Job Responsibilities:*
* A thorough knowledge of electrical/electronic components and equipment including the use of special instruments for diagnostic purposes
* Troubleshoots and repairs mechanical, hydraulic, pneumatic and electrical/electronic equipment including but not limited to programmable controls, numeral controls, power supplies, drives, gauges and test equipment.
* Electrical troubleshooting and repairs (hydraulics, pneumatics, pumps). Plc
* Adjust machinery and equipment, start up and test
* Work on projects involving electrical hook up of equipment and machinery, main power distribution including new service installations and sub feeds, power factor correction installations, generator installations, motor hook ups and more.
* Plans and performs work requiring a thorough knowledge of electrical/electronic and mechanical theories and principles, writing specifications, local and national electrical codes, properties of various materials, and principles of operation and application of electronic equipment.
* Experience reading electrical drawings, panel terminations, and troubleshooting electrical power systems would be a valuable asset
* Be experienced with installing EMT and RIDGID conduit, TECK cable, small wire pulls, PVC, cable tray installations, and more according to Code.
* Informs appropriate management of potential electrical/mechanical problems and inherent dangers involved.
* Performs preventative maintenance functions as directed.
* Assists maintenance personnel with technical troubleshooting.
* Assists and trains other maintenance and/or other technical level employees
* Present a professional tone and image at all times to customers and vendors.
* Responsible for the timely and accurate repair for all required department documentation.
*Other Job Requirements:*
* Must be able to work well with all levels of personnel whether individually or in a team environment, and especially must be able to interface and communicate with line operators in order to assist with repairs and troubleshooting.
* Professional, upbeat, energetic, takes initiative, dependable, takes pride in work.
* Promote and comply with Health and Safety regulations
* Ability to effectively manage time.
* Experience and ability to work in a fast-paced field service environment.
* Willing to work any shift and overtime as required.
