Students will be expected to demonstrate learning in authentic ways beyond the four walls of a classroom and teachers will facilitate this as an integral part of the assessment cycle. This position is designed for a forward thinking, collaborative educator who thrives in a team environment and is willing to continue to operate on the leading edge of education and adjust practice accordingly.<p> <p><p>Education & Experience<p><p> Teaching English as a Second Language (TESL) Certificate from an accredited program <p> Training and experience administering and interpreting IPT Assessments <p> Familiarity with IELTS instruction <p> Familiarity of the BC ELL Standards <p> Experience teaching ELL learners at the Secondary level<p> Experience with individual and small group student support (both push in and pull out) <p> Experience using technology to facilitate language acquisition <p> Eligible for Abbotsford Academic English Language Program certificate <p> Eligible for B.C.
