custodian supervisor - cleaning services

Education: Secondary (high) school graduation certificate. Work setting: Office building. School or educational institution/establishment. Residential. Commercial building. Automobile dealership. Various locations. Health care institution, facility or clinic. Tasks: Hire and train or arrange for training of cleaning staff. Supervise and co-ordinate activities of workers. Inspect sites or facilities to ensure safety and cleanliness standards. Assist cleaners in performing duties. Co-ordinate work activities with other departments. Establish work schedules. Wash windows, interior walls and ceilings. Work with minimal supervision. Clean and disinfect bathrooms and fixtures. Sweep, mop, scrub and wax hallways, floors and stairs. Empty trash cans and other waste containers. Truck or equipment experience: Snowblower. Equipment and machinery experience: Industrial vacuum cleaners/power sweepers. Polishing machines. Carpet cleaning machine. Equipment, eystems and controls experience: Security system. Area of work experience: Cleaning. Equipment: Upholstery cleaning equipment. Work conditions and physical capabilities: Work under pressure. Repetitive tasks. Physically demanding. Combination of sitting, standing, walking. Standing for extended periods.
