<p><span>Environmental Compliance Lead </span></p><p></p><p><span>The compliance lead will be responsible for ensuring that all permits, licenses, approvals and environmental agreements are complied with as well as regulatory compliance with various relevant regulatory authorities.</span></p><p><span>The incumbent oversees the implementation and enforcement of all procedures related to regulatory obligations, internal and external programs as well as customer requirements. </span></p><p><span>The compliance lead conducts internal and external audits and implements corrective actions to ensure full compliance with various regulatory authorities.</span></p><p><span>The compliance lead will work closely with all departments, including corporate environmental compliance. The integration of tasks will be done in a gradual manner.</span></p><p></p><p><b><span>Responsibilities:</span></b></p><ul><li><p><span>Ensure compliance with internal procedures and policies (related to the transportation, customs and other).</span></p></li><li><p><span>Stay informed and proactive about any changes to regulations, classifications and to export and environmental requirements. </span></p></li><li><p><span>Act as internal auditor.</span></p></li><li><p><span>Assist in the management of received materials that are not in compliance.</span></p></li><li><p><span>Assist all customers, suppliers and authorities in their audits and track all recommended improvements implementation.</span></p></li><li><p><span>Participate in the management of training programs.</span></p></li><li><p><span>Help draft reports required by the Ministry of the Environment and Climate Change (MELCC)</span></p></li><li><p><span>Prepare the drafting of modifications to ministerial permits (residual hazardous materials and non-hazardous residual materials) and requests from the MELCC.</span></p></li><li><p><span>Participate in building safety management.</span></p></li><li><p><span>Performs all other tasks assigned by the management team</span></p></li><li><p><span>Coordinates with EH&S corporate team the implementation of EH&S and Compliance programs from Reworld</span></p></li><li><p>Peer review of all safety programs for adequacy, compliance, and improvement opportunity.</p></li><li><p>Insures and monitors supplier?s compliance to Reworld?s standards</p></li><li><p>Assists other teams (operation, transportation, chemists, sales) in resolving issues.</p></li><li><p>Identify compliance risks, resolve compliance issues and ensure that action plans are developed and implemented.</p></li><li><p>Updating the internal quality control system (writing procedures, preparing audit forms, conducting internal audits, etc.)</p></li><li><p>Ensure compliance of all documentations such as procedures, policies, SOP, forms for Chambly?s site.</p></li><li><p>Support the investigation process and ensure that corrective plans are put in place, communicated and followed.</p></li><li><p>Implement and follow all internal audit programs.</p></li></ul><p></p><p><b><span>Required Skills:</span></b></p><ul><li><p>Bachelor?s degree in science or equivalent work experience</p></li><li><p>Excellent verbal and written communication skills in English and French</p></li><li><p>Able to meet tight deadlines and remain calm under pressure</p></li><li><p>Strong organizational, planning and priority management skills</p></li><li><p>Strong analytical and synthetic skills</p></li><li><p>Team spirit</p></li><li><p>Knowledge of various laws and regulations applicable to waste management and transportation of hazardous materials</p></li><li><p>Good knowledge of Microsoft Office suite</p></li><li><p>Experience in compliance audits or environmental management (an asset)</p></li><li><p>Relevant training or experience in quality and environmental management (an asset)</p></li><li><p>Years of experience: 3+ years of experience as a safety and/or environmental professional</p></li><li><p></p><p>** This is an 18-month full-time
