At Powerline Plus Ltd., We focus on three main operations, Electrical, Civil Construction and Engineering & Design. Powerline Plus Ltd. provides quality solutions to public utilities, municipalities and developers, as well as to industrial, national and international manufacturing companies across the GTA.
A locate is a legal documentation which identifies underground utility lines issued through various Locate Service Providers (L.S.P). Locate Coordinators continuously track and monitor locates in order to ensure safety and productivity of various projects from inception through completion. Locates Coordinators at Powerline Plus Ltd. work alongside Project Coordinators in the Civil Construction Department to plan, organize, map out and request a locate for various Civil Construction projects. Locates Coordinators participate actively and maintain ongoing relations with QA/QC Inspectors, Civil Foremen, Civil Supervisors, Project Coordinators and external utility companies.
*SKILLS & QUALIFICATIONS*
* The successful candidate will possess the following qualifications:
* Completion of a one or two year program for Administrative Assistant, Business Administration, office Administration or other related discipline
* A minimum of two years? experience as a Locate Coordinator
* Advanced knowledge of Microsoft Office
*DUTIES/RESPONSIBILITIES*
Work alongside Project Coordinators, Project Managers, Civil Supervisors, and the Civil Construction Manager to determine and request locates
* Monitor ongoing projects and work with the Project Coordinator to determine when the best time would be to relocate a project
* Liaise with utility companies for locate requests
* Quality Checks; ensure requested area was accurately located
* Liaise with Rogers and Bell in case of a drop (damaged) wire
* Review Engineer blueprints and drawings and request locates accordingly
* Compile and send reports to primary Locate Service Providers for overdue locates
* Clerical duties; word processing, maintaining filing and record systems, faxing and photocopying of necessary Locates paperwork
