Education: No degree, certificate or diploma. Tasks: Perform pre-trip, en route and post-trip inspection and oversee all aspects of vehicle. Perform preventive maintenance. Receive and relay information to central dispatch. Tarping and ensuring safety and security of cargo. Work with minimal supervision. Certificates, licences, memberships, and courses : Air Brakes Endorsement. Class 1/1F/A Licence (semi trailer trucks). Documentation knowledge: Driver logbook. Inspection report (pre-trip, en-route, post-trip). Trip reports. Type of trucking and equipment: Logging, highway. Logging, off-highway. Communication systems experience: Citizens band (CB) radio. Transportation/travel experience: Local. Security and safety: Driver's validity licence check. Driving record check (abstract). Transportation/travel information: Drive manual transmission vehicle. Valid driver's licence. Work conditions and physical capabilities: Attention to detail. Handling heavy loads. Repetitive tasks. Sitting. Own tools/equipment: Cellular phone. Steel-toed safety boots.
