PVNC Catholic District School Board <p>Supply Learning Technologies Specialist <p>The Supply Learning Technologies Specialist (LTS) plays an important role in ensuring continuance of IT services to our students, staff and schools. The Supply LTS is called upon to replace our full-time, in-school Learning Technologies Specialists and Helpdesk during extended absences, and will assist the IT department during periods of particular need. The ideal candidate has sufficient experience which prepares them to competently step into multiple different roles, has critical thinking skills to solve IT related problems, and has a flexible schedule with an ability to accommodate casual work. <p>Rate of Pay: $28.58/per hour<p> Job Summary: <p>Facilitate the learning environment of staff and students through coaching and training, in support of embedding technology in the classroom for educational use. Provide ongoing installation and diagnostics of computer systems, software and peripherals in all areas of the Board.<p><p><p><p>Duties and Responsibilities: <p><p> Facilitate learning environments with staff and students on the educational use of technology in assigned board locations.<p> Develop innovative approaches for embedding learning technologies into day to day practice<p> Build strong end user relationships by connecting and engaging with people in a positive, supportive manner<p> Work collaboratively with other team members to update users and disseminate technical information through the use of website, email and social media<p> Continuously looking for opportunities to stay on top of technology trends through digital resources and professional development<p> Install and troubleshoot computer systems, networks and standard software in board locations as required.<p> Perform technical diagnostics and preventative maintenance on school board devices including specialized equipment.<p> Maintain inventory database and provide detailed call ticket tracking and resolution<p> Act as project lead on the day to day coordination and implementation of projects as required.<p> Liaise with hardware and software vendors<p> Work in all areas of the Board<p> Direct temporary or student help as required<p> Other duties as assigned<p> <p> <p><p> Job Requirements: <p><p> Requires O.S.S.D. (Grade 12 Diploma), plus a 3 year Computer related diploma program, (a minimum of 1,500 hours of in-class instructional time)<p> Requires two years demonstrated experience or an appropriate professional certification.<p> Ability to facilitate coaching and mentoring sessions in the classroom or in front of groups<p> Critical thinker with excellent problem solving and communication skills. Communicate effectively and work cooperatively with all stakeholders.<p> Team player who is able to adapt to a changing environment<p> Requires demonstrated experience installing and supporting Windows and web based software products<p> Familiarity with editing and updating website content<p> Sound technical knowledge of a variety of operating systems, platforms and industry standard software<p> Requires demonstrated experience servicing and repairing computers<p> Requires bending, heavy lifting and carrying of computer hardware and associated peripherals.<p> Requires a valid Driver?s License and transportation to all areas of the Board?s jurisdiction.<p><p>Interested applicants are invited to submit a cover letter and resume to the posting on Apply to Education.
