Job details
Education: Secondary (high) school graduation certificate. or equivalent experience. Work setting: Construction. Renovation. Various locations. Installation. Rural area. Urban area. Relocation costs not covered by employer. Willing to relocate. Custom cabinet shop. Tasks: Install interior prefabricated products. Professionalism in customer service. Read blueprints, drawings and specifications to determine work requirements . Determine layout and installation procedures. Measure and mark guidelines to be used for installations. Prepare and maintain work materials and supplies. Load and unload trucks with supplies and equipment. Utilize hand and power tools. Utilize laser alignment system. Read and interpret blueprints/sketches/specifications. Measure wood products to ensure conformance to specifications. Measure and lay out reference points for installation. Install hardware on furniture and fixtures. Install hardware such as knobs and hinges. Read blueprints to determine work requirements . Prepare specifications of custom-made cabinets that maximize storage. Supervision: Kitchen cupboard and vanity installers. Certificates, licences, memberships, and courses : Workplace Hazardous Materials Information System (WHMIS) Certificate. Construction Safety Training Systems (CSTS) Certificate. Type of product: Power tools. Kitchen cabinets. Equipment and machinery experience: Hand tools. Power cutting tools. Laser levelling/aligning. Area of specialization: Kitchen cabinets and vanities. Cabinets. Security and safety: Driving record check (abstract). Transportation/travel information: Own transportation. Willing to travel. Valid driver's licence.
