Education: Secondary (high) school graduation certificate. or equivalent experience. Work site environment: Outdoors. At heights. Dusty. Underground. Confined spaces. Odours. Work setting: Various locations. Tasks: Supervise workers and projects. Co-ordinate and schedule activities. Oversee apprenticeship training. Recruit and hire workers and carry out related staffing actions. Train or arrange for training. Set up machines and equipment. Ensure health and safety regulations are followed. Read blueprints and drawings. Requisition or order materials, equipment and supplies. Leading/instructing individuals. Supervise other workers. Repair cracks and holes. Prepare, clean and sand surfaces to be painted. Apply paint, wallpaper and other materials and finishes to interior and exterior surfaces. Equipment and machinery experience: Thermal spray equipment. Roller painting. Patterned rollers. Conventional spray painting. Brush painting. Airless spray equipment. Area of work experience: Paint spraying. Surface preparation experience: Drywall taping/patching. Coating/application specialization: Urethanes. Multi-color finishes. Wood finishing specialization: Staining. Glazing. Security and safety: Bondable. Basic security clearance. Criminal record check. Transportation/travel information: Valid driver's licence. Own vehicle. Own transportation.
