Education: Master's degree. Work site environment: Outdoors. Work setting: Private sector. Tasks: Direct and control daily operations . Evaluate daily operations . Plan and organize daily operations. Establish and implement policies and procedures. Inspect spills of hazardous chemicals or products. Inspect workplaces for safety or health hazards. Investigate workplace accidents or illnesses. Oversee development of communication strategies. Develop and implement health and safety plans. Ensure health and safety regulations are followed. Oversee the preparation of reports. Advise senior management. Respond to employee questions and complaints. Organize staff consultation and grievance procedures. Evaluate work environments, programs and procedures to control, eliminate, and prevent disease or injury. Certificates, licences, memberships, and courses : Occupational Health and Safety Certificate. Workplace Hazardous Materials Information System (WHMIS) Certificate. Area of work experience: Construction site. Work conditions and physical capabilities: Ability to work independently. Work under pressure. Attention to detail. Combination of sitting, standing, walking. Standing for extended periods. Own tools/equipment: Safety equipment/gear. Steel-toed safety boots. Hard hat. Safety glasses/goggles. Cellular phone.
