Education: Secondary (high) school graduation certificate. or equivalent experience. Work site environment: Outdoors. Non-smoking. Work setting: Rural area. Relocation costs not covered by employer. Tasks: Clean the crops. Clear and collect brush and debris from fields and other work areas. Consider water saturation, light and temperature when planning for germination. Greenhouse cleaning. Harvest seedlings. Level earth to fine grade specifications. Seed cutting. Tie and secure plants. Weeding. Write daily basic progress reports. Assist in pruning trees, shrubs and plants. Mix and prepare soils. Plant bulbs and seeds. Pot and re-pot plants. Transplant seedlings or rooted cuttings. Report signs of insect or disease damage. Assist in grafting activities. Dig up wrapping rootballs of trees and shrubs. Water and tend to plants, lawns and/or gardens. Clean work area. Type of product: Native plants. Landscaping experience: Restoration and preservation projects. Equipment and machinery experience: Chain saw. Garden tractors. Mechanical seeder. Mechanical sprayer. Transportation/travel information: Valid driver's licence. Own transportation. Public transportation is not available. Work conditions and physical capabilities: Fast-paced environment.
