Job details
Education: Master's degree. or equivalent experience. Work site environment: Outdoors. Dangerous. Underground. Work setting: Construction. Tasks: Direct and control daily operations . Evaluate daily operations . Motivate staff. Plan and organize daily operations. Review HR directives to assure compliance with occupational health and safety regulations . Establish and implement policies and procedures. Collect samples of materials for analysis. Inspect spills of hazardous chemicals or products. Inspect workplaces for safety or health hazards. Plan, develop and implement recruitment strategies. Investigate workplace accidents or illnesses. Initiate enforcement procedures to fine or close an establishment. Oversee the analysis of employee data and information. Oversee development of communication strategies. Develop and implement health and safety plans. Oversee the preparation of reports. Respond to employee questions and complaints. Conduct performance reviews. Evaluate work environments, programs and procedures to control, eliminate, and prevent disease or injury. Certificates, licences, memberships, and courses : First Aid Certificate. National Construction Safety Officer (NCSO) program. Occupational Health and Safety Certificate. Workplace Hazardous Materials Information System (WHMIS) Certificate. Type of inspection and investigation: Workplace. Work related accidents. Area of work experience: Construction site.
