Education: No degree, certificate or diploma. Work setting: Custom machine shop. Tasks: Verify dimensions of parts machined using precise measuring instruments (e.g., micrometers, calipers). Perform routine maintenance on equipment and machinery. Enter codes specifying speed, feed and cut of the toolpath for computer numerically controlled (CNC) machine tools. Clean and maintain work space. Equipment and machinery experience: Use computer numerical control (CNC) machines. Transportation/travel information: Own transportation. Work conditions and physical capabilities: Manual dexterity. Attention to detail. Hand-eye co-ordination. Weight handling: Up to 45 kg (100 lbs). Own tools/equipment: Steel-toed safety boots. Personal suitability: Reliability. Screening questions: Are you currently legally able to work in Canada?. Do you have previous experience in this field of employment?.
