Job details
Curney Mechanical is looking for a highly skilled Financial Analyst to join our team. The ideal candidate will have experience analyzing financial data and developing profit-focused action plans, including trend forecasting and variance monitoring for large projects. Additionally, this person should be proficient in data visualization and modeling. The right financial analyst will have a desire to contribute from Day 1, helping us provide service that?s second to none to our Project Managers.
*Objectives of this role*
* Monitor large project financial status by comparing datasets with projections
* Improve fiscal health with thorough analyses of financial data: develop deep, actionable insights to drive business performance by monitoring variances and identifying trends for large projects
* Develop forecast models for large projects based on comparative performance metrics and implement improvements
*Responsibilities*
* Work directly with Project Managers on various planning exercises, such as forecasting, budgets, profitability analysis, and reporting
* Assist in the monthly close process by analyzing trends and variances related to revenue, and compare and correct data to reconcile transactions for large projects
* Uphold standards through monthly reporting packages and thorough internal analysis of financial data for large projects
* Reconcile large projects on completion to close out in the financial system
* Prepare bonding contract status reports and quarterly work on hand reports for surety
* Ensure accurate and timely financial statements, in compliance with accounting standards and regulations
* Supporting of all month end account reconciliations
* Support implementation and maintain robust financial systems and controls to safeguard company assets
* Support in development and implementation of financial strategies, policies, and procedures to achieve business goals
* Ensures entity has proper financial discipline
* Contributes to discussions that improve business insights using data and facts
* Conduct financial analysis, forecasting, and budgeting that support strategic decision-making
*Required skills and qualifications*
* Understanding of large job accounting procedures
* Experience working as a financial analyst
* Proficiency with financial software and tools
* Outstanding communication, reporting, and presentation skills
*Preferred skills and qualifications*
* Bachelor?s degree (or equivalent) in finance or related field
* Experience in financial forecasting and trend analytics for large jobs
* Experience with revenue recognition using percentage of completion methodologies
* Strong familiarity with accounting, and tax
* Experience in a corporate finance setting
* Measurable ability in financial planning and strategy
Job Types: Full-time, Permanent
Pay: $49,000.00-$65,000.00 per year
