Responsibilities

Tasks

  • Assess potential institutional, business or individual client markets
  • Calculate premiums
  • Establish client insurance coverage
  • Establish method of payment
  • Ensure appropriate forms, medical examinations and other policy requirements are completed
  • Monitor insurance claims and respond to clients' enquiries
  • Provide customer service
  • Sell automobile, fire, health, life, property, marine, aircraft and other types of insurance

  • 1 to 2 people

Credentials

Certificates, licences, memberships, and courses 

  • Canadian Accredited Insurance Broker (CAIB)
  • Provincial or territorial licence
