Job details
Education: No degree, certificate or diploma. Work site environment: All weather conditions. Work setting: Commercial building. Tasks: Sweep, mop, scrub and wax hallways, floors and stairs. Operate industrial vacuum cleaners to remove scraps, dirt, heavy debris and other refuse. Empty trash cans and other waste containers. Wash windows, interior walls and ceilings. Perform safety and security checks. Move heavy furniture, equipment and supplies. Perform other routine maintenance jobs such as painting and drywall repair. Water and tend to plants, lawns and/or gardens. Clean and disinfect bathrooms and fixtures. Work with minimal supervision. Clean snow and ice from walkways and parking areas. Certificates, licences, memberships, and courses : Workplace Hazardous Materials Information System (WHMIS) Certificate. First Aid Certificate. Forklift Operator Certification. Area of work experience: Cleaning. Equipment: Industrial vacuum cleaners/power sweepers. Power tools. Power lawn mowers. Small tractors (lawn/snow removal attachments). Snowblower. Work conditions and physical capabilities: Repetitive tasks. Handling heavy loads. Physically demanding. Bending, crouching, kneeling. Weight handling: Up to 45 kg (100 lbs).
