*Construction Project Manager*
*Velocity Group* offers a broad scope of Surveying, Environmental and Civil Engineering services from our offices across Alberta. We are seeking a knowledgeable and efficient *Construction Project Manager *to join our construction team. As our ideal candidate, you work directly with clients and various departments within the company to ensure that project deliverables are completed within the budget and defined scope for various construction projects in British Columbia, Alberta and Saskatchewan. This position is in our Grande Prairie Office, remote work will be considered.
*RESPONSIBILITIES*
* Leading survey crews on projects; communicating scope and scheduling information to team members, setting expectations, and ensuring timeliness of project tasks; delegating responsibilities, monitoring progress and supervising crews and office staff
* Manage project resource allocation
· Check surveys and plans in accordance with regulations and standards set by all the applicable governing legislation, bylaws and industry standard practices
· Check and confirm all information shown on the client?s deliverables is correct and suitable
* Maintains accurate and up-to-date project status data. Analyzes, researches, and creates reports on project status
* Maintain timely and accurate invoicing
* Develop strong client relations with existing clients
* Develop new business and establish strategic relationships with key clients, agencies, and partners
* Provide mentorship, guidance, leadership, motivation, and coaching to employees.
* Actively promote a rewarding, challenging and supportive work environment for team members
* Ensure Quality, safety, legislation and industry standards are met or exceeded.
*QUALIFICATIONS*
* 2+ years of experience in a survey project management role demonstrating competency on construction or linear infrastructure projects
* College diploma or Bachelor?s degree in geomatics/civil engineering and/or related experience
* Strong computer skills, especially in the Microsoft 365 environment
* Experience with survey calculations software, MicroSurvey and/or Civil 3D
* Experience working with both survey and UAV data as well as machine control
* Excellent work ethic, flexibility, resourcefulness, maturity, and sound judgment
* Strong analytical, time management, written and verbal skills
* Strong commitment to excellence, attention to detail and professional development as well as a team player.
