Job details
Education: No degree, certificate or diploma. Tasks: Clear and collect brush and debris from fields, pens and other work areas. Clear fields of wood and stones. Develop and guide the behaviour of farm animals. Grade vegetables and fruits into different grades according to the size, shape, colour and volume to fetch high price in market.. Organize tasks to accomplish the work. Perform livestock feeding. Perform pig littering activities such as clipping needle teeth, docking tails, administering iron and other medication(s), identification of piglets, and castration. Plant, cultivate and irrigate crops. Prepare cattle for exhibition. Assist in the development and implementation of farm safety and bio-security procedures. Provide agricultural crop services such as plowing, irrigating, cultivating, spraying or harvesting. Co-ordinate and supervise the work of general farm workers and harvesting labourers. Ensure farm safety and bio-security procedures are followed. Detect disease and health problems in crops, livestock and poultry. Set and monitor water lines, air flow and temperature in barns, pens and chicken coops. Experience: 1 to less than 7 months.
