Our highly collaborative teams ? located in studios in Surrey, Kelowna, and Vancouver Island ? work with clients across British Columbia in the K-12 education, post-secondary education, health care, civic, and commercial sectors. We currently have an opportunity for an *Intermediate Interior Designer *to join our Surrey office. Under the guidance of the Senior Interior Designer, you will be responsible for:
* Collaborating on and leading interiors projects, including programming client needs, conceptual design, schematic design and design development
* Developing space planning concepts and generating program documents
* Participating in selection of furniture systems and specifications
* Providing project team coordination for the finished plans, specifications, and material selections required for construction
* Working with clients, consultants and contractors to meet overall project objectives on schedule and within budget
* Participating in the construction administration of projects and reviewing of submittals and finish samples
* Assisting in managing client expectations, team communication and consultant coordination
* Contributing to office activities, initiatives, and learning programs
*What you need to be successful in the role:*
· Degree or diploma in Interior Design from an accredited university
· 5+ years? relevant experience in Canada, preferably in an architectural firm
· Proficiency in Revit, AutoCAD and Sketch-up is required
· Strong graphic presentation skills in Adobe Creative Suite
· Experience with Bluebeam, Lumion and/or Enscape would be an asset
· Solid communication skills for a collaborative team-based working environment
· Registration with, or working towards becoming a Registered Interior Designer (RID)
