Job details
Education: College, CEGEP or other non-university certificate or diploma from a program of 1 year to 2 years. or equivalent experience. Tasks: Handle, restrain and care for animals undergoing treatment and surgery. Prepare and administer medications and vaccines under direction of veterinarian. Administer treatments as prescribed by veterinarian. Counsel clients on animal health care. May perform a variety of office management and clerical duties. Provide nursing care and rehabilitation therapy for animals. Provide wound and bandage care. Handling animals. Work conditions and physical capabilities: Attention to detail. Fast-paced environment. Walking. Standing for extended periods. Bending, crouching, kneeling. Combination of sitting, standing, walking. Repetitive tasks. Work under pressure. Physically demanding.
