Job details
Education: Secondary (high) school graduation certificate. Tasks: Clean and lubricate equipment and refill equipment tanks. Understand the purpose, proper usgage and information found on material safety data sheets (MSDS). Complete onboard and other logs. Conduct pre-operational checks on equipment. Prepare accident reports. Secure special attachments to equipment. Operate GPS (Global Positioning System) and other navigation equipment. Operate two-way radios and other communication equipment. Perform minor repairs to equipment. Operate hydraulic pumping systems. Certificates, licences, memberships, and courses : Heavy Equipment Operator Trade Certification. Driver's License (Class 1 or A). Driver's License (Class 3 or D). Air Brake (Z) Endorsement. Power Line Hazardous Training. Type of heavy equipment operated: Concrete pumping equipment. Type of industry experience: Industrial/commercial/institutional (ICI) construction. Road construction. Work conditions and physical capabilities: Physically demanding. Attention to detail. Fast-paced environment. Overtime required. Own tools/equipment: Steel-toed safety boots. Experience: 1 year to less than 2 years. Health benefits: Dental plan. Health care plan. Vision care benefits.
