Education: Secondary (high) school graduation certificate. or equivalent experience. Work site environment: Confined spaces. Work setting: Kennel. Pet grooming shop. Tasks: Prepare food and feed animals. Clean and disinfect cages, pens, aquariums, kennels, runs, stall and enclosures. Keep records of animals treated. Supervise helpers. Maintain and order supplies. Type of pets groomed: All breeds of dogs. Animal specialization: Domestic animals/pets (cats, kittens, puppies, dogs, etc.). Security and safety: Criminal record check. Work conditions and physical capabilities: Attention to detail. Physically demanding. Bending, crouching, kneeling. Standing for extended periods. Weight handling: Up to 9 kg (20 lbs). Personal suitability: Client focus. Dependability. Efficient interpersonal skills. Excellent oral communication. Excellent written communication. Flexibility. Judgement. Reliability. Team player.
