Tasks: Interpret welding process specifications. Read and interpret welding blueprints, drawings specifications, manuals and processes. Examine welds and ensure that they meet standards and/or specifications. Operate previously set-up welding machines to fabricate or repair metal parts and products. Type of materials: Steel, iron and heavy metals. Equipment and machinery experience: Arc welding machine. Gas welding machine. Soldering machine. Spot welding machine. Area of specialization: Pressure vessels. Factory assembly. Cast iron and other metals. Transportation/travel information: Own transportation. Public transportation is not available. Work conditions and physical capabilities: Fast-paced environment. Repetitive tasks. Handling heavy loads. Physically demanding. Manual dexterity. Hand-eye co-ordination.
