Education: Secondary (high) school graduation certificate. or equivalent experience. Tasks: Direct planting of trees, gardens and lawns. Hire, supervise and schedule staff. Organize planting of trees, gardens and lawns. Resolve work problems by providing technical advice to increase the value and functionality of a property. Schedule events, programs and activities. Schedule work. Plan and direct grounds maintenance. Organize and direct construction of decks and decorative or retaining walls. Plan, manage and supervise landscape construction work. Repair and maintain equipment. Requisition or order materials, equipment and supplies. Resolve work problems, provide technical advice and recommend measures to improve productivity and product quality. Supervise nursery and greenhouse workers. Supervision: 3-4 people. Security and safety: Driver's validity licence check. Work conditions and physical capabilities: Fast-paced environment. Work under pressure. Tight deadlines. Handling heavy loads. Physically demanding. Manual dexterity. Combination of sitting, standing, walking. Standing for extended periods. Personal suitability: Client focus. Excellent oral communication. Initiative.
