Education: College/CEGEP. Work setting: Fruit and vegetable processing plant. Tasks: Advise supervisors of ingredient or product deficiencies. Take samples of products at various stages of processing. Examine ingredients or finished products to ensure conformance to company standards. Conduct routine tests for product specifications. Ensure hygiene and sanitation practices conform to policies and regulations. Visually inspect products for quality. Maintain quality control and production records. Maintain records and statistics. Conduct quality control. Conduct quality control assessment of testing techniques. Identifying and investigating compliance issues. Inspect final products. Develop quality management and quality assurance standards. Certificates, licences, memberships, and courses : Safe quality foods (SQF) Certificate. Work conditions and physical capabilities: Repetitive tasks. Attention to detail. Combination of sitting, standing, walking. Bending, crouching, kneeling. Experience: 7 months to less than 1 year.
