Education: Other trades certificate or diploma. or equivalent experience. Work site environment: Odours. Tasks: Clean work area. Organize and maintain inventory. Read and interpret blueprints/sketches/specifications. Check proper thickness of plating using micrometers, callipers or other devices. Clean and maintain equipment. Operate and control: electroplating equipment to coat metal, hot-dip metal plating equipment to galvanize metal and/or spray equipment to build up worn or damaged parts. Clean, polish, file or otherwise finish products. Polish metal products to mirror finish. Grind and polish press cylinders. Certificates, licences, memberships, and courses : Forklift Operator Certification. Workplace Hazardous Materials Information System (WHMIS) Certificate. Type of product: Construction materials or coatings. General metal products. Surface preparation methods: Abrasive disc wheel. Chemical techniques. Etching. Masking. Sandblasters. Equipment and machinery experience: Callipers. Electroplating equipment. Hot-dip metal plating equipment. Micrometers. Surface grinders. Polishers. Cylindrical grinders. Spot welding machine.
