Education: No degree, certificate or diploma. Work site environment: Outdoors. Underground. Confined spaces. Noisy. Dusty. Hot. Work setting: Construction site. Tasks: Load, unload and transport construction materials. Clean and lubricate cranes. Erect and dismantle concrete forms, scaffolding, ramps, catwalks shoring and barricades. Operate pile driving cranes to drive pilings into earth to provide support for buildings and other structures. Mix, pour and spread materials such as concrete and asphalt. Operate cranes equipped with dredging attachments to dredge waterways and other areas. Help medical examiner in charge. Operate gantry cranes to load and unload ship cargo at port side. Assist in drilling and blasting rock on construction sites. Assist in framing houses, erecting walls and building roofs. Level earth to fine grade specifications. Assist in demolishing buildings.
