The Halifax Climate Investment, Innovation and Impact Fund (HCi3) is looking for a Manager, Investments to join our small and dynamic team. About HCi3The Halifax Climate Investment, Innovation, and Impact (HCi3) Fund supports carbon reduction initiatives in the Halifax/Kjipuktuk region through a collaborative and "multi-solving" approach. We're looking at how we can reduce greenhouse gas emissions through financing scalable solutions, building community and Nation climate capacity, supporting equity, contributing to reconciliation, and providing other community and environmental benefits. HCi3 was established in 2020 as one of seven Low Carbon Cities Canada (LC3) centers. We are a subsidiary of EfficiencyOne, a national leader in the design and delivery of resource efficiency programs and services. HCi3 draws on the national expertise of the LC3 network and the experience of EfficiencyOne to drive innovation and share knowledge locally and nationally. About the RoleWe are seeking a Manager, Investments, to provide financial services for impact investment opportunities in Halifax/Kjipuktuk and beyond. Reporting to the Executive Director, the Manager will leverage financial expertise and knowledge of climate solutions to help build HCi3's investment pipeline, conduct due diligence and lead investment recommendations. The Manager will also support other initiatives at HCi3 with financial expertise and advice, including the Deep Retrofit Accelerator which focuses on financing solutions for building owners and managers. This role is critical to fulfilling the mandate of HCi3, including promoting equity, reconciliation and shared benefits for local communities.Responsibilities:Investment Analysis and ManagementConduct technical and financial analysis to support potential impact investments and grow the portfolio of impact investment products.Develop and document strategies for financing building retrofit projects.Collaborate with consultants, participants, investors, financial institutions, and other possible co-lenders to structure financing solutions, which would include loans, lines of credit, equity financing, and grants.Conduct due diligence on potential investment opportunities, including identifying risks and mitigation strategies and assessing feasibility and sustainability.Monitor performance of HCi3's investments.Manage relationships with consultants and investment advisors.Maintain accurate and complete files to facilitate reporting and audits.Partnership DevelopmentGrow HCi3's impact investing efforts through stakeholder engagement, partnership building, and project pipeline development.Build and strengthen relationships with new/existing potential co-financiers from Atlantic Canada and across the country.Collaborate with stakeholders, indigenous communities, and underrepresented groups, to co-create initiatives that advance equity and reconciliation goals, ensuring meaningful p
