Since day one, SPS has been intentional about building a culture that is inclusive, respectful, and supportive, with a strong focus on employee wellness and career development.About the RoleSPS has an exciting opportunity for a Functional Application Analyst 2 to join the Support Services Bureau in the Leadership Development Section (LDS). The successful candidate will serve as the primary expert for system functionality and provide leadership, guidance, support, and training in this dynamic team. This position provides functional support for various computer applications including SharePoint, Microsoft 365, PowerApps, Power Automate, ILIAS LMS as well as Adobe Creative Suite. The successful candidate will be the primary expert for all system functionality and work in a complex multi-site organization.Within the scope of the LDS, the Analyst will respond to, investigate, prioritize, and resolve integrated administrative, technical, or operating problems by means of standard methodologies and procedures to interpret or adapt as situations and problems arise. Responsibilities include acting as a liaison with IT for all LDS-speci?c system issues raised by the functional users that require IT involvement and assist with the resolution of all issues, providing ongoing support to end users in the use of tools through training programs, one on one consultation, systems, or procedural advice, developing training materials, ensuring end user system documentation is appropriate and complete, and liaising with application system vendors, external user groups and consultants to exchange information. The analyst will be responsible for maximizing integration between user groups by analyzing business processes and recommending improvements where appropriate and contributing to the future development of various systems by participating in the development of business cases, de?ning requirements, assisting with development of work break down structure and project plans, testing and implementation, and con?guring changes and security access where applicable, and perform other related duties, as required.The ideal candidate will have the ability to work in a strategic and proactive manner and remain up to date on current technology while also being highly organized and solutions-focused with an ability to think logically and analytically in a problem-solving environment. With strong written and verbal communication skills, the Analyst will have effective presentation skills to present recommendations. The candidate will thrive in a fast-paced and collaborative environment with strong planning and organizational skills and an ability to build and maintain effective working relationships with users, team members, and key stakeholders in supporting SPS?s strategic priorities. The successful candidate will have a bachelor's degree in an acceptable related discipline from a recognized post-secondary institution plus three (3) years of directly related and relevant experience preferably in a municipal setting; or, diploma
