MacKay?s Truck & Trailer Center is growing, and we are currently seeking a Truck & Transport Mechanic to join our team in Dartmouth, Nova Scotia. Licensed and Apprentice Truck and Transport technicians and Red Seal Automotive technicians are invited to apply. MacKay?s is a well-established family-owned business with over 40 years experience operating full-line Truck, Trailer & Compact Equipment dealerships, with locations in Truro & Dartmouth, Nova Scotia as well as Moncton, New Brunswick and Charlottetown, Prince Edward Island. We currently have openings on both our day and evening shifts for permanent full-time technicians. This is not a flat rate shop, technicians and apprentices are paid hourly. MacKay's offers a competitive salary of *$23-38 per hour *(depending on experience), a comprehensive compensation package that includes medical, dental, vision, and extended health benefits, company pension (matched), three weeks vacation to start, boot and tool allowance. Flexible scheduling with a possibility for other shift options after the probationary period is over i.e. 12-hour days and 4-day weeks. Duties include, but are not limited to: Diagnosing, adjusting, repairing, and replacing parts and components on small, medium, and heavy-duty trucks as well as routine and preventative maintenance. Experience: * 1 to 5 years of experience in the Truck and Transport trade is an asset * Truck and Transport or Automotive Red Seal certifications are considered an asset * Cummins engine training and Mack/ Volvo Master tech training is an asset * Class one driver license is considered an asset MacKay?s Truck & Trailer Center is an equal opportunity employer.
