Education: Secondary (high) school graduation certificate. Work site environment: Outdoors. Cold/refrigerated. Dusty. Hot. Noisy. Tasks: Troubleshoot and inspect equipment to detect faults and malfunctions. Diagnose faults or malfunctions using computerized and other testing equipment to determine extent of repair required. Adjust equipment and repair or replace defective parts. Keep maintenance reports and documentation. Welding experience. Test repaired equipment for proper performance and to ensure that work meets manufacturers' specifications. Attach components and adjust new farm equipment. Clean, lubricate and perform other maintenance work. Perform repair work on heavy trucks. Service attachments and working tools. Perform other routine maintenance. Certificates, licences, memberships, and courses : Driver's License (Class 1 or A). Diesel engine repair specialization: Exhaust system. Engine control system. Installation and alignment of engines and machinery. Powered equipment repair specialization: Compressors. Pumps. Telescopic ladder. Electric generators. Industrial lift trucks and fork-lifts. Security and safety: Criminal record check. Driving record check (abstract). Driver's validity licence check. Transportation/travel information: Own transportation. Valid driver's licence. Public transportation is not available. Work conditions and physical capabilities: Physically demanding. Attention to detail. Bending, crouching, kneeling. Hand-eye co-ordination.
