*Position Overview:*
Renewal Development is seeking a Communications Manager to play a crucial role in shaping our brand narrative and enhancing our public image. You will be responsible for developing and executing comprehensive communication strategies that highlight our commitment to sustainable affordable housing and community development. The objective is to reach key audiences with curated content to drive business conversion.
Renewal Development acts as both a responsible demolition company (service offering) and a sustainable construction company (product offering). establishing two unique sets of key audiences.
*Responsibilities:*
* Strategic Planning: Develop and implement communication strategies that align with the company's mission, values, and business objectives
* Brand Management: Develop, maintain and enhance the company's brand identity, ensuring consistency across all communication channels
* Content Creation: Produce (and or coordinate the creation of) compelling content for various platforms, including website, social media, press releases, and marketing materials
* Social Media Management: Curate, create and coordinate social media sharing, campaigns and engagement
* Media Relations: Cultivate and maintain relationships with media outlets and journalists to secure positive media coverage
* Public Relations: Manage public relations campaigns to promote key initiatives, projects, and achievements
* Conference and Event participation planning
* Market Research: Conduct market research and monitor industry trends to identify communication opportunities and challenges
*Qualifications:*
* Bachelor?s degree in Communications, Public Relations, Journalism, Marketing, or related field
* Proven experience (5+ years) in communications, public relations, or a related field, ideally within the real estate or sustainable development sectors
* Exceptional written and verbal communication skills, with a keen eye for detail and the ability to craft engaging content
* Strong project management skills, with the ability to prioritize tasks and meet deadlines
* Experience in media relations and content creation across various platforms
* Strategic thinker with the ability to analyze data and trends to make informed decisions
* Knowledge of sustainable development practices and affordable housing issues is a plus
* Strong proficiency in digital marketing tools, social media platforms, and content management systems

40 hrs / week
$50 / mo internet and cell phone allowance
Office based position with minimum four (4) days per week in office (Olympic Village, Vancouver)
