*Director of Marketing and Philanthropy *

As a member of the Organizational Leadership Team, the Director of Marketing and Philanthropy leads the Marketing and Fundraising work across Karis Disability Services, developing strategies, approaches, structures, and systems that engage key audiences and resources to meet organizational business objectives. The Director is responsible to lead their department to plan, integrate, and implement well researched strategies and tools to build a strong organizational brand through a range of marketing, media, public relations and philanthropic activities to meet organizational outcomes, and will equip the organization for positive and effective internal communications.
*The Director of Marketing and Philanthropy* *embraces the Christian Faith Foundation of the organization, ensures the Christian ethos and the Values, Vision and Mission permeate their job responsibilities, and personally commits to the expectations as outlined in the Statement of Faith.*
*Responsibilities:*
* Develop and deliver Christian faith-informed perspectives on engaging and attracting the Christian community to Karis Disability Services, and support both the Christian and broader community to realize the value of people with disabilities through effective marketing, communications, and fundraising strategies.
* Represent the interests of Karis Disability Services as a Christian faith-based agency at relevant professional meetings, marketing and fundraising communities of practice, sector and Christian organizational committees, etc.
* Lead and implement processes and policies to ensure that Karis Disability Services? Faith Foundation, Values, Vision, and Mission appropriately permeate the activities and practices of the Marketing and Philanthropy Department.
* Lead the recruitment, hiring, and professional development of staff in the Marketing and Philanthropy Department.
* Train and equip organizational leadership, volunteers, and other relevant roles to effectively contribute to the organization?s Philanthropy goals and objectives.
* Support the Faith Foundation and Christian Ethos of Karis Disability Services by leading and/or modeling prayer, devotions, and/or other Christian rituals or traditions, where appropriate.
* Spearhead organization-wide efforts for positive internal and external communications that incorporate audience-centric, strengths-based, and story-telling approaches that affirm and empower people.
* Provide input to organizational strategic priorities and the development of the Strategic Plan especially as they relate to marketing and philanthropy.
* Formulate department operating plans to achieve relevant outcomes identified in the Strategic Plan and annual organizational operating plans.
