As the Director, Centre of Excellence you will develop centralized capabilities to socialize and foster connections with client segments/communities and establish market position in Canada ensuring business strategies, plans and initiatives are executed / delivered in compliance with governing regulations, internal policies and procedures. Is this role right for you? In this role you will: Lead and drive a customer focused culture throughout their team to deepen client relationships and leverage broader Bank relationships, systems and knowledge. Conduct research to outline client needs and develop client journey maps across businesses, identifying opportunities to enhance experience Work with stakeholders across the bank to implement changes to processes, policies, etc. to improve cultural client experience Develop knowledge materials to staff across the value chain to inform on ways to engage and interact with cultural segments Create and maintain a central repository to store knowledge materials, and inform on upcoming events / new initiatives Work with Communications and other partners, to identify opportunities to promote cultural events and engage in sponsorships Work with Economics team and other partners, to support thought leadership activities, including primary research and article publication Support the management and coordination of the Cultural Segments Steer Co to engage leaders on progress and new Lead the management of the Cultural Champions Network of regional staff Understand how the Bank's risk appetite and risk culture should be considered in day-to-day activities and decisions. Create an environment in which their team pursues effective and efficient operations of their respective areas in accordance with Scotiabank's Values, its Code of Conduct and the Global Sales Principles, while ensuring the adequacy, adherence to and effectiveness of day-to-day business controls to meet obligations with respect to operational, compliance, AML/ATF/sanctions and conduct risk. Build a high performance environment and implements a people strategy that attracts, retains, develops and motivates their team by fostering an inclusive work environment and using a coaching mindset and behaviours; communicating vison/values/business strategy; and, managing succession and development planning for the team.Do you have the skills that will enable you to succeed in this role? We would love to work with you if you have: Strong communication (verbal/written/presentation) skills Strong interpersonal skills You have at least 10+ years of professional working experience in banking, wealth management, etc. External network of partnerships or proven track record of strong relationship building Experience building strategic partnerships and a proven ability to drive continuous improvements to achieve business goals.
