*Brief Job Description*
A Sanitation worker is responsible for ensuring food processing equipment and work areas are sanitized and cleaned as per company and the Canadian Food Inspection Agency?s requirements. Sanitation work will be carried out efficiently, while having the highest priority on safety. Will require a Class 5 driver's license to operate the company's shuttle to pick up and drop off staff members.
*Wages & Benefits:*
* Based on your experience within the manufacturing industry, the wage is: $18.48 and in accordance with the wages outlined with the Collective Agreement.

*Position Responsibilities:*
* Cleaning and sanitizing plant facilities and equipment to ensure cleanliness
* Disassemble/ Reassemble processing equipment in a timely manner
* Ensure equipment passes pre-operating inspections and re-clean as needed
* Clean equipment in such a manner as to prevent personal injury, equipment damage and production downtime
* Perform other duties as directed
*Qualifications and Requirements*
* 1-2 years experience in a sanitation or janitorial role
* Class 5 Driver?s license and has a reliable vehicle
* WHMIS Certification and experience working with chemicals
* Must have basic working English (verbal)
* Consistent commitment to working safely
* Demonstrated ability to react to situations with a strong sense of urgency using a creative and logical approach to resolution
* Ability to work in a cold environment and tolerate standing for long periods of time
* Ability to work in a team based environment
*Required PPEs are provided including:*
* Steel-toed boots, Hard hat
* Hearing protection
* Safety Gloves
* Apron and Smock
*Shift: Monday to Friday at 5:30 AM- 2:00 PM*
Job Types: Full-time, Permanent
Pay: $18.48 per hour
Expected hours: 40 per week
