Education: College/CEGEP. or equivalent experience. Work setting: Nursing home/home for the aged. Tasks: Accompany patients on outdoor recreational activities. Perform other duties related to patient care and comfort. Perform other duties related to personal care. Serve meal trays and feed patients. Make beds and maintain patients' rooms. Bathe, dress and groom patients. Transport patients in wheelchair or stretcher. Answer call signals to determine patients' needs. Administer first aid in emergency situations. Manage kitchen operations. Administer medications. Certificates, licences, memberships, and courses : Moving Patients Safety Principles (MPSP) training. CPR Certificate. Security and safety: Criminal record check. Work conditions and physical capabilities: Repetitive tasks. Physically demanding. Standing for extended periods. Combination of sitting, standing, walking. Bending, crouching, kneeling. Personal suitability: Client focus. Dependability. Flexibility. Interpersonal awareness. Reliability. Team player. Patience.
