Central Okanagan Public Schools has an excellent reputation for providing outstanding, student-centered programs in a diverse and inclusive environment as well as offering a wide range of educational opportunities for its students and staff.We invite applications for the position of: Accounts Clerk <p>Full-Time Accounts Clerk - International Education Settlement Services<p>Pay Grade 6 - Job #0604 - $27.96/Hour<p>Thirty-five (35) hours per week, twelve (12) months of the year. <p>Position Summary : <p>Perform bookkeeping/accounting duties including receiving and receipting money, maintaining records of the International Education Department's financial transactions, including petty cash, invoicing, assistance with bank reconciliation duties, District VISAs and other clerical duties as assigned.<p>Qualifications : <p>Applicants must have :<p>-completed Grade 12 (Senior Secondary School Graduation), including commercial courses applicable to the position (bookkeeping/accounting);<p>- knowledge and experience with word processing skills - Microsoft Office (Word, Excel; PowerPoint, Access, Adobe), as well as Sharepoint/Outlook;<p>- six (6) months' recent secretarial training (Office Administration Program) at a Community College;<p>-one (1) year recent and previous related accounting/bookkeeping experience;<p>-knowledge and experience with other accounting programs (must pass District bookkeeping exam);<p>-a net typing speed of thirty-five (35) words per minute;<p>Applicants will be expected to :<p>-maintain a high quality of work including accuracy and dependability;<p>-possess good organizational skills;<p>-maintain excellent interpersonal skills.<p>-Utilize and be proficient with the District Sparkrock 365 software;<p>-complete the required Health & Safety Training<p>-Utilize and be proficient with the District True North database;<p>-complete CIMS Web Financial School Accounting and Admin Connect<p>-complete MyEd BC-Level 1 and 2; Qualified candidates are invited to apply online at www.makeafuture.ca with cover letter and a detailed resume, including three (3) professional references (names and phone numbers) and copies of certifications.Applications will be accepted until the position is filled.
