The division is focused on ensuring all students have the opportunity to succeed and has designated numeracy and student mental health and wellness as division priorities.<p>Northern Lights Public Schools invites applications for the following position: <p>A2425-10 Assistant Principal - Glendon School <p> This is a full-time position commencing with the start of the 2024-2025 school year . Glendon School is located in the Village of Glendon with approximately 200 students in Preschool to Grade 12. Glendon School provides a stable, safe environment for students to come and learn the knowledge and skills needed to advance in our ever changing world. The division is seeking a dedicated and caring leader who will support the Principal to create a welcoming learning environment where all students learn and excel. <p> Reporting directly to the Principal, the successful candidate will: Ensure effective educational programming and school activities for students<p> Develop and nurture a positive, supportive and inclusive school culture<p> Assist the Principal to provide effective instructional leadership to school staff<p> Work collaboratively with division office staff, the school admin team and staff, students and the School Council to achieve the goals of the school and the division<p> Assist the Principal effectively manage school operations and resources<p> Nurture strong relationships with students, staff, parents and the school community<p> Teach courses that may be assigned by the Principal The successful candidate will possess the following qualifications: Possess a valid Alberta Teaching Certificate<p> Proven excellence as a classroom teacher and commitment to student success<p> Possess or be eligible to achieve the Alberta Leadership Quality Standards Certificate<p> Previous school administration experience is an asset<p> The ability to work effectively with diverse student and parent groups<p> Excellent interpersonal, communication, organizational, problem-solving and conflict resolution skills<p> Commitment to lifelong learning and professional improvement<p> A strong background in leadership skills and effective instructional practicesInterested applicants are required to create and complete all sections of their portfolio through the 'Apply On-Line' link on our website: https://www.nlpsab.ca/, in the employment section.
