Job details
Education: Secondary (high) school graduation certificate. or equivalent experience. Tasks: Prepare food and feed animals. Clean and disinfect cages, pens, aquariums, kennels, runs, stall and enclosures. Keep records of animals treated. Assist with inoculation and treatment of animals. Supervise helpers. Animal specialization: Domestic animals/pets (cats, kittens, puppies, dogs, etc.). Hamsters, guinea pigs, gerbils, etc.. Transportation/travel information: Valid driver's licence. Work conditions and physical capabilities: Attention to detail. Physically demanding. Handling heavy loads. Bending, crouching, kneeling. Fast-paced environment. Standing for extended periods. Weight handling: Up to 23 kg (50 lbs). Personal suitability: Client focus. Dependability. Efficient interpersonal skills. Excellent oral communication. Excellent written communication. Flexibility.
