<span><div><div><div><strong>Description</strong> </div><div><p>Reporting to the Manager Process Engineering - First & Last Mile the Process Specialist II role is responsible for leading process and performance excellence programs within the First and Last Mile operations umbrella. Key areas of responsibilities include;</p> <p> </p> <p>· Ensure the First and Last Mile policies and procedures are designed to comply with internal and external business requirements</p> <p>· Provide governance within the Business Process Framework to ensure that all processes associated with the First and Last Mile perform within set guidelines and achieve customer expectations</p> <p>· Oversee tasks with multiple groups ensuring departmental alignment on Terminal Excellence projects and initiatives</p> </div></div><div><div><strong>Responsibilities</strong> </div><div><p>· Lead and coordinate the evaluation of processes, systems and technology impacting operations as per the approved business requirement</p> <p>· Develop routines and best practices to ensure quality and performance</p> <p>· Ensure processes comply with safety and quality standards</p> <p>· Meet with operations managers to assess existing processes. Document voice of customer and assess requirements for first and last mile</p> <p>· Lead and manage the exploration of process improvement strategies, documentation, data collection, defect management, and take to market activities within the first last mile</p> <p>· Work with the Process Manager - FLM to execute deliverables assigned to complete the project scope on time and within budget</p> <p>· Lead and conduct lessons learned exercises for continuous improvement of associated standardized processes</p> <p>· Provide the Process Manager with process documents and standard operating procedures</p> <p>· Develop job aids and reference materials</p> <p>· Communicate and update project status and activities to all stakeholders</p> <p>· Provide training and monitoring support to operations for system upgrades</p> </div></div><div><div><strong>Experience</strong> </div><div><p>· Minimum of 4 years of relevant work experience in a high availability Transportation/Supply Chain/ Network Logistics operation. Experience within the Courier First and Last Mile considered an asset</p> <p>· Experience with transportation processes and standard operating procedures</p> </div></div><div><div><strong>Education</strong> </div><div><p>· Degree in Industrial Engineering/BS degree in Engineering graduate considered and asset</p> <p>· Lean/Six Sigma training (Green Belt or above is preferred)</p> </div></div><div><div><strong>Skills</strong> </div><div><p>· Advanced technical skills</p> <p>· Analytical thinker</p> <p>· Strong leadership, project and time management skills with the ability to prioritize multiple projects in an agile approach</p> <p>· Problem solver and strategic thinker with a strong work ethic and ability to work independently in a fast-paced environment</p> <p>· Ability to work with a high degree of detail and accuracy constantly meeting deadlines</p> <p>· Strong written and oral communications skills. Bilingual (English/French) considered an asset</p> <p>· Knowledge in MS applications (i.e. Excel, Word, Outlook, PowerPoint, Project)</p> <p>· Experience with UAT and JIRA</p> </div></div></div> </span>
