Install door, window and other hardware. Instruct apprentices. Repair glass doors and other glass structures. Assemble, erect and dismantle scaffolding, rigging and hoisting equipment. Supervise other workers. Transport cases of glass. Work at heights, on scaffolding or swing stages. Work from man-lift mobile equipment, cranes and other lifting equipment. Read and interpret blueprints, maps, drawings and specifications. Type of glass/materials: Float glass. Sealed units. Frame fabrication and installation: Curtain wall (stock length material). Spandrel panel installations. Aluminum framing members. Entranceways. Glass cutting equipment and techniques: Cutting wheels. Self-lubricating cutters. 118 degree wheel. Circular cutters. Computerized cutters. Automatic finger pull machine. Cut glass plate manually (straight cuts). Cut glass plate free-hand (curved cuts). Bend glass. Edge glass plates. Etch glass. Notch glass plates. Laminate glass. Paint glass. Sandblast decal designs on glass. Temper glass. Tint glass. Installation specialization: Skylights and slope glazed installations. Curtain walls.
