Education: Secondary (high) school graduation certificate. or equivalent experience. Work site environment: Dusty. Hot. Noisy. Odours. Work setting: Relocation costs not covered by employer. Manufacture. Tasks: Load, unload and move products and materials by hand or with basic material handling equipment. Operate a variety of equipment to load, unload and move materials and products. Ship orders. Make labels and attach to goods. Wrap goods. Pack and unpack goods. Sort, crate and stack goods. Install, lash and secure goods. Read and interpret specifications or follow verbal instructions. Apply quality control procedure. Supervision: No supervision responsibility. Certificates, licences, memberships, and courses : Counterbalanced forklift training. Rough terrain forklift training. Overhead Crane Certification. Workplace Hazardous Materials Information System (WHMIS) Certificate. Industrial processes and biological studies: Industrial health and safety. Vehicle and equipment experience: Industrial lift trucks and fork-lifts. Overhead crane. Pallet lifters. Security and safety: Criminal record check. Work conditions and physical capabilities: Repetitive tasks. Handling heavy loads. Physically demanding. Manual dexterity. Attention to detail. Hand-eye co-ordination. Standing for extended periods.
