Education: Secondary (high) school graduation certificate. Tasks: Drive lighter, special purpose trucks. Load and unload goods. Obtain special permits and other documents required to transport cargo on international routes. Operate and drive straight or articulated trucks to transport goods and materials. Oversee condition of vehicle and inspect tires, lights, brakes, cold storage and other equipment. Perform brake adjustments. Perform emergency roadside repairs. Perform pre-trip, en route and post-trip inspection and oversee all aspects of vehicle. Record cargo information, hours of service, distance travelled and fuel consumption. Tarping and ensuring safety and security of cargo. Certificates, licences, memberships, and courses : Air Brakes Endorsement. Class 5/5F/G Licence (cars, small trucks and other 2-axle vehicles). Transportation of Dangerous Goods (TDG) Certificate. Documentation knowledge: Dangerous goods occurrence reports. Driver logbook. Inspection report (pre-trip, en-route, post-trip). Maintenance and repair reports. Type of trucking and equipment: Liquid bulk. Transportation/travel experience: Local. Short-haul. Security and safety: Valid passport. Driver's validity licence check. Driving record check (abstract). Transportation/travel information: Valid driver's licence. Willing to travel for extended periods. Work conditions and physical capabilities: Attention to detail.
